2025 State of the Community Brings Together Powerhouse Leaders and Advocates!

The Greater Fayetteville Chamber presents the 2025 State of the Community, a dynamic civic event bringing together regional leaders, policymakers, business executives, nonprofit voices, and engaged citizens for strategic conversations about the future of Fayetteville and Cumberland County. This event is a key platform for collaboration, community insight, and collective action spotlighting critical issues and bold ideas that shape the region’s progress.

Scheduled for August 26, 2025, 11:00 AM,  at Crown Exposition Center,  this annual gathering is more than a program. The State of the Community brings government, business, nonprofit, and military voices together under one roof. This forum provides a critical pulse check on our region’s most pressing topics, from economic development and workforce readiness to healthcare access, military-community partnerships, housing, infrastructure, and more. From policymakers and civic leaders to residents and business advocates, this is the room you want to be in.

This year’s Distinguished Speakers lineup includes:

  • Thom Tillis, U.S. Senator, North Carolina
  • David Rouzer, U.S. Representative, NC District 7
  • Kirk deViere, Chair, Cumberland County Board of Commissioners
  • Mitch Colvin, Mayor, City of Fayetteville
  • Mike Nagowski, CEO, Cape Fear Valley Health

“Our goal is to ensure that every stakeholder, whether an elected official, small business owner, educator, or community advocate has a seat at the table,” said Nat Robertson, President & CEO of the Greater Fayetteville Chamber. “This is where collective leadership meets actionable vision.”

This event is open to the public and ideal for anyone interested in the trajectory of our region, from seasoned leaders to emerging changemakers. It’s not just an event, it’s where momentum is fueled.
